Small Groups PDF Print E-mail

Our Home Friendship Groups are the “Life’s Blood” of our church. We believe that the early church in the Book of Acts was a Home Fellowship Church.

The Small Groups are our way of connecting everyone to each other  and growing together in the Body of Christ.

What, Why, How?
What:
Home Friendship Groups are small groups of people in various stages of Christian spiritual development who meet in homes in their own neighborhoods to develop positive relationships with God and with others.

Group members can freely express personal feelings, regardless of background or circumstances. They can discuss life's many issues in a confidential, encouraging environment, as they seek answers from a Biblical perspective.

Home Friendship Groups enable people to enjoy the support and friendship of other believers, as they discover that God is actively working in their lives in very personal ways. The model for Home Friendship Groups is found in the Bible:

"Everyday they continued to meet together... They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people"  -- Acts 2:46-47

Why:
It is a method used by the Apostles. It is Biblical, and it produces remarkable results!

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers." -- Acts 2:42

"So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." --Acts 2:46-47
